Cosfest IX Let's Make Friends Day 2*cough cough* Well I mentioned "I probably can't make it for day2", not 'definitely cannot make it' xD
Yeps so here's my experience today. Reached there around 5pm and when I arrived there was still a large amount of people there. Like WOW, its so late and there are still so many cosplayers, photographers & people around. Definitely more people than day1. Went into the tent to browse the shops because I felt that I just had to buy something, but unfortunately I didn't. A plush leek did pique my interest though but when I returned to buy it, it was out of stock ): Seems like I have to pop by the store to purchase it. I wanted it for my default Miku costume DX
I then went outside to take more photos of the cosplayers and left around 7. I think I had already missed the Karaoke Competition winners performance when I reached... Due to my poor memory, I couldn't remember what songs the winners sang yesterday... xD
Also, I did mentioned that I would cosplay Sheryl Nome on day2, but due to the lack of time, I was unable to cosplay. However, the large amount of cosplayers made me really regret not cosplaying.

Cosfest IX Let's Make Friends Day 1Day 1 of Cosfest is over (: Let me share some of my experiences today.
Reached there around 11.30 to register for the karaoke competition and meet up with my (new) friends. I'm so glad to befriend someone who actually is interested in anime/cosplay, because I have ZERO friends who are interested in these kind of stuff... So anyway, we went for lunch at Macdonalds, saw some cosplayers, then went back to the event hall. They were starting the Anime Games World Music Competition, some teams were really good and the first team's vocalist sounded like Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! xD Then the karaoke competition started... Was super nervous but after hearing the other contestants I calmed down. My 2 friends sang

Hoshizora no SPICA from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS (Contestant 10). They really did a great job, unlike me, I sounded horrible... (Contestant 29)So when contestant 28 was performing, the organizers didn't call me backstage so I thought that maybe they were taking a break after her, but when the song ended and the next song was announced, I immediately ran to them and luckily I was given enough time to prepare & for them to restart the song. Before I stepped out I was soooo nervous but after getting out on stage I just kind of calmed down & sang the song
(Tsunaida te ni Kiss wo from D.Gray-Man) No actions, nothing... Total FAIL. If the video gets uploaded by someone I'll post it here. I didn't win btw, but it was a memorable experience.And the most important part of the whole event. I got to meet Kaika!!!! Like OMG!!!! I was like whining about wanting to meet Kaika, & suddenly, like poof, she was in front of me... I was practically shouting: OMG IT'S KAIKA! & went to take a photo with her. Her sleeves wasnt put on yet so it took some time but I didn't mind cos it was so awesome to be able to take photos with her. She cosplayed Kagamine Rin btw, default version.
So Cosfest day1 ended in a flash, with tons of fun & excitement, unfortunately I probably can't make it for day2, so for those who are going, hope you have as much fun as I did.

Anxious Preparation!As I mentioned in my previous post, Cosfest is tomorrow... I still haven't prepared my costume yet!!! I'm collecting my Rin wig today and I still have to DIY a hairband, 2 guns and some dangling string thing. And the worst thing is that I still have to buy a yellow tie to complete it. I'll be going to Bugis Street later to look around. Hope I find what I want. (and need)

COSFEST!!Whew very very few updates... Not like anyone reads this blog anyway though. Okay, so Cosfest is like tomorrow already (how fast time flies) and I have registered myself in the karaoke competition. However, updates are slow and I still have no idea whether I'm registered yet and the schedule of the competition. I really hope I get in because this is the first time I've ever gone to Cosfest & taking part in a competition. I really love singing and well it's so exciting for me.
Besides ranting about myself & blah blah blah, let me update with some stuff...
The Gathering @ Asia: I went there around 3 and there wasn't much cosplayers. It was because the Cosplay Ball was in preparation & the cosplayers went home... Was really disappointed.
Japan Fiesta: Went for day1 and well.... There wasn't alot of people and there were few cosplayers... Maybe it was because I went late, but still....
PS. tomorrow is also COSMO Costume Competition 2010 and its sad that there are 2 events going on the same day. However, I'm still going to Cosfest because it's kind of like "The Event of The Year" in my opinion.

Well skipping parts, Mato & Yomi eventually become good friends while BRS & DM begin their fight... Like most of our lives, the two friends get split into different classes in the second year and start to communicate less while Mato makes a new friend, the manager of the basketball club, Yuu. Mato eventually senses something is wrong but Yomi suddenly has disappeared. She receives a call from Yomi but it hung up immediately. Sensing something, Mato runs to the park where she brought Yomi to once and finds the handphone strap she gave to her a while ago on the ground. Picking it up, a pillar of light engulfs her.
The end... Credits roll down, and "What the hell did I just watch? I expected to see epic fighting, ot some friendship slice-of-life anime" is what I have been seeing for online reviews. Apparently I stupidly went to read reviews in the middle of the show, which gave me a bad impression. However, while continuing to watch, the story wasn't that bad at all... It was a beautiful friendship that some people take for granted but realises how important it was to them after the person is gone. I admit, I was disappointed at first after reading the reviews but the ending part was so lovely and touching that it made up for the disappointment. So to summarize, it had its good and bad points. For people who have not heard the song 'Black ★ Rock Shooter' by Hatsune Miku or seen the trailers, it would be enjoyable for them to watch since they do not expect much. However, for fans like me who have watched the trailers, it would be quite a great disappointment.
